We spent 2 days in Normandy.  The bomb craters and crosses in the cemetery will never be forgotten.  Later on, we took a 2.5 hour train, a 1.5 hour cab ride, 1:45 hour plane ride and a 30 minute cab ride to Madrid.  It looked like Colorado and we stayed with a friend.  The best meal was at the oldest restaurant in the world.  That’s to say, this place has been in existence since the 1700’s! They specialize in roasted suckling pig.  The next adventure was in the morning to exciting Barcelona, and the train ride was gorgeous.  Here are a few photos that my kids took in France!
